About Us

Goddard Manufacturing & Design LLC (GMD) was founded in the summer of 2012 with a clear mission: to bring our high standards of machining and fabrication to the greater Knoxville area. The company is the realization of a shared passion by Gib, Russ, and Andy Goddard, whose combined skill sets create a powerful synergy.

Gib Goddard: Leading our fabrication and welding department, Gib brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to the table. His passion for drafting and design ignited early in high school, leading him to pursue an Associate’s degree in Computer Integrated Drafting and Design from Pellissippi State Community College. Gib’s extensive experience at Goddard Industrial, his uncle’s sheet metal and fabrication shop, provided the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey.

Russ and Andy Goddard: This dynamic twin duo forms the core of GMD’s machine shop. With over 20 years of experience each, Russ and Andy are masters of mills and lathes. Directly after high school, they honed their skills at their father’s company, Goddard Industrial, learning from his expertise as a United States Navy machinist. They each managed their respective departments at Goddard Industrial – Russ overseeing the mills and Andy the lathes – before embarking on their own venture.

After leaving Goddard Industrial around 2010, the Goddard brothers pursued their shared dream, establishing GMD in 2012. Their goal remains steadfast: to exceed customer expectations by providing top-tier machining and fabrication solutions.
